Post Animal Share New Single “Schedule” with Announcement of New Album ‘Forward Motion Godyssey’

Chicago’s own Post Animal have officially announced their sophomore album, which is entitled Forward Motion Godyssey and will arrive on February 14, 2020 via Polyvinyl.

The band are using this announcement to also share new single, “Schedule.” This one follows up the  “Safe or Not,” and it’s got a sunnier vibe with a touch of that psychedelia with which they often infuse their music to deliver a Classic Rock radio-ready tune that plays just as well with surging Bedroom Pop that has recently started to gain mainstream appeal.

The album was written in eight days in the majestic Big Sky, Montana and co-produced by the band’s Dalton Allison and collaborator Adam Thein.

Drummer Wesley Toledo commented via today’s press release:

Making this record, we wanted to go extreme in a lot of different directions—we wanted to be as poppy as we’ve ever been, as over-the-top as we’ve ever been, as grandiose and heavy and dramatic as we’ve ever been.
