Hyperpop and glitchpop superstars glaive and ericdoa performed their second Chicago show ever Saturday night at Shubas Tavern to a sold out crowd, and the energy was unmatched.

The duo was supported by another rising star midwxst, who also put on an incredible show dubbed in a Naruto costume during his performance. I unfortunately only was able to catch the end of midwxst’s set therefore my description of his set will be brief, although from what I was able to see he had a grasp of the crowd equally if not more than the two headlining acts, and his stage presence is that of a seasoned veteran let alone someone who only has a single years worth of music on DSPs.

Following midwxst we received a solo performance from ericdoa, easily the most decorated member in the hyperpop scene of the three of them. ericdoa performed an amazing set featuring crowd favorites such as ‘fantasize’, ‘2008’, and ‘likewise’ with a heathy dose of unreleased and hidden gems from his back catalog.

ericdoa then went on to introduce glaive to the stage in an equally hype and funny “white boy” chant that set the tone for the remainder of the show. Glaive, similarly to ericdoa, performed a great deal of unreleased and crowd favorites. Multiple times throughout his set glaive joined the crowd to perform anthem tracks such as ‘astrid’ and ‘i wanna slam my head against the wall.’ Overall he just had incredible crowd engagement often talking to us about topics such as school and his love for performing.

To finish the show glaive and ericdoa came out together to perform their newest collaborative project ‘then i’ll be happy’ in it’s entirety which we did a review of linked here. The show was followed by a meet and greet from all three artists at the merch booth. I found this show to be so much fun and can be amassed to the fact that the crowd and performers alike were just kids with a similar love for music having a great time together.

In the future stay on the lookout for shows from all three of these artists and check out their music below, as they all have limitless potential in pop circles.
