After sharing a pair of new original tracks, The Smashing Pumpkins have officially announced their forthcoming double album, Cyr.
Today’s news offers new details about Cyr, revealing the November 27 release date for the 20-track album via Sumerian Records. The Alternative Rock icon’s eleventh studio album was produced by front-man Billy Corgan and recorded in Chicago, and features founding members Billy Corgan, James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin and guitarist Jeff Schroeder.
On top of that, the band also released the trailer and details for their upcoming five-part animated series, titled In Ashes, created by Billy Corgan and animated by Deep Sky. The first two episodes ‘As The Crow Flies’ and ‘Inspirations, Aspirations’ will be revealed on September 25, along with new music from the album.
