Kaylo Shares New ‘48 HRS (B4AL)’ EP

@drewdraws.hl

South Side Chicago artist Kaylo has released a new EP titled ‘48 HRS (B4AL),’ a predecessor to upcoming album ‘Almost Loaded.’

This tape has been anticipated by all of us at Pursuit of Dopeness after the electric singles in “Woke Up (FLM$)” and “What A Coincidence.”

Since we last wrote about Kaylo, he performed “Woke Up (FLM$)” as the first song of the night at the most recent Fake Shore Drive x House of Vans showcase alongside fellow HL member SONNY. The performance was incredible and set the tone for the night ahead.

‘48HRS (B4AL)’ is short and consistent, featuring seven tracks (five new tracks) in which one is an intro and another is an interlude.

Kaylo does what he does best on these, spotlighting some bashing beats alongside some hypnotic melodies. He also explores some new-soundscapes with tracks like “Stay! (Bout My Day)” which features a pluggnb style production.

Kaylo is a great example of what makes hip-hop’s underground so sonically inventive both in Chicago and as a whole. I cannot reiterate this enough but pay attention to Kaylo because he’s next up.
