Love & Nappyness, the brainchild of Chicago artist Matt Muse, is back again presenting The Long Hair Don’t Care Show featuring countless great Chicago based artists. Chicago artist Tobi Lou is headlining alongside Senite, Shawnee Dez, NombreKari and Matt Muse himself.
Last year’s show featuring Jamilla Woods, theMIND and Matt Muse at the Metro Chicago raised a great deal of money towards Love & Nappyness’ Hair Care Drive’s beneficiaries. This year with Thalia Hall being the venue of choice, they aim to achieve a similar goal of donating a portion of ticket sales to the charities their upcoming Hair Care Drive benefits.
Love & Nappyness is nearing the end of their fourth annual Hair Care Drive which calls on members of the Chicago community to donate sealed and unused natural hair, skincare, and personal hygiene products for those who lack those amenities. Their beneficiaries this year are St. Leonard’s Ministries and Maria Shelter. You can find out more about Hair Care Drive drop off locations and their beneficiaries below.
