Album Stream: Billie Eilish Releases ‘Happier Than Ever’

The sophomore album from Billie Eilish, Happier Than Ever, is here. Released via Darkroom/Interscope, the follow-up to WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? packs 16 tracks that Eilish wrote with her brother and primary collaborator, FINNEAS, who produced the album at his home studio in Los Angeles.

Aesthetically (from the art direction to the essence of the album), Happier Than Eve was inspired by Billie’s “all-time favorite recording artists” Julie London, Frank Sinatra and Peggy Lee, and the 1950’s and 60’s “golden era” that they reigned.

The album was previewed by tracks like “Lost Cause,” “NDA,” “Therefore I Am,” and “My Future.” Her next plans to showcase the songs from this album will be her cinematic concert experience, Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter To Los Angeles, coming to Disney+ on September 3.

In an Instagram post about the album’s release, Billie Eilish says about Happier Than Ever:

i love every song on this project so so much it literally scares me thinking about putting it out into the world for anyone to listen to. i feel like crying. i grew so much in the process of making this album and experienced so much self realization and self reflection. i wish i could go back and make this album all over again because it was some of the best nights in my life.
