D2X Releases “Day Job”

Chicago-native D2X has been creatively hard at work for several years now. His latest track, “Day Job”, is the lead single from his upcoming album The Color Blue, set to be released on March 26th. D2X clearly has his sights on making 2021 a year to remember.

“Day Job” is a cut featuring smooth production that D2X effortlessly flows over. Although D2X details trials and tribulations throughout this track, it has a generally triumphant feel. Detailing his daily grind, D2X dumps his soul out on this cut and he does it in an impressive fashion. This track was recorded with engineer Ro Marsalis and producers XayScott & DJ Pain 1.

Per the press release, “Thrilling, unapologetic, and liberated, ‘Day Job’ is an anthem for all people on the clock who may feel like they’re stuck in the matrix to relate to.”
