POD Premiere: Cameron Bolden Returns With ‘Caramel Sunday’ Two-Pack

We’re back with another amazing POD Premiere to jump-start your December. After Emi Wes’ dope mid-October release, we’re back to feature Black Marsh and Out of Time artist Cameron Bolden. If you haven’t heard of Cameron yet, here’s your chance to get in tune.

Several months after Flowers In My Air Max, young Chicago artist Cameron Bolden is finally back, this time releasing Caramel Sunday, an impressive two-track offering. This two-pack was comprised of Cameron’s efforts as well as some help from Sriram Iyer, Marwa, and Char.

Cameron shines throughout both tracks, yet each respective cut has its own unique vibe. Throughout these cuts, Cam doesn’t hesitate to speak on what he’d like to; the ever-growing confidence is clear. On “Caramel”, Cameron pairs smooth rhymes with neck-breaking production. Be sure to stay tuned in throughout the entirety of this one, the contrasting duality of “Caramel” attests to Cameron’s unique artistry… I’m not sure which part of this cut I dig more. On the flip side, “ORLAND PARK” features cheerful, chopped-up production. Cameron wastes little time before jumping in to flow over the beat, there’s an effortless quality to his rapping that makes each track a treat to listen to.

Cameron had this to say about the two-pack,

“These songs took us like, months to finish, and I think that was largely because we just wanted them to be good. We spent as much time on these songs as we did on my last album, and that means a lot to me, personally. These songs are about growth and change, evolution and development because I’m at a point in my life – I think we’re all at a point in our lives – where shit is changing and scary, we’re just trying to keep it the fuck together. So I hope people fuck with it.”

It truly sounds like Cameron and the collaborating forces put everything they could towards this two-pack. Stream Caramel Sunday below and be sure to keep your eyes out for Cam Bolden in the new year.
