Club América is paying homage to one of its most glorious eras for their new home kit for the 2020-21 season. Las Águilas had their “golden decade”in the 80s during which the Mexico City team won 5 league titles, and the new kit’s design pays a nod to the jerseys worn by those championship squads.
The inverted triangle design is back, this time in navy blue, followed by ascending lines in royal blue, red and orange. The inner back features the phrase “El más grande” in blue, because all of us Americanistas know that’s the truth.
