The pandemic has gotten Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong on a covers kick and his latest subject is a John Lennon track. Armstrong has shared his cover of Lennon’s socially-conscious solo track, “Gimme Some Truth.”
His rendition sounds a lot like Generation X‘s 1978 take on the track, which he addresses in the caption for the post. One thing that’s for sure, the Imagine song always sounds good through a Punk lens.
