The Chicago Red Stars are showing some hometown love with their new “The Neighborhood Kit” for the 2020 season.
The local club competing in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) unveiled their secondary kit virtually to a record 1,000 attendees.
While the Red Stars have long been repping the city’s municipal flag in their crest, “The Neighborhood Kit” takes things up a notch. The design on the front of the jersey is made up of the flag, with the blue stripes above and below the iconic stars featuring the 77 neighborhoods that make up the Chicagoland area. On the back, you’ll find the city’s iconic skyline also made up of those neighborhood names.
