Billie Eilish delivered a heartfelt cover of The Beatles classic “Yesterday” to score the “In Memoriam” segment during which the Academy highlighted the loss of artists like Kobe Bryant, Rip Torn, Terry Jones, John Singleton, and Kirk Douglas, among many others.

Some of the other notable musical moments included Elton John playing “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again” from his biopic Rocketman (which wound up winning Best Original Song), Eminem made a surprise appearance to finally perform his song “Lose Yourself,” which won Best Song back in 2003.
