California-based multi-instrumentalist Thundercat has returned with a stellar new offering featuring both Steve Lacy and Steve Arrington entitled “Black Qualls”. Just as Thundercat is simply one-of-a-kind, this track is absolutely unique to him and his sound; he’s carved out a style that’s so addictive and swaggy.
Thundercat took to the Beats1 podcast alongside Zane Lowe to formally announce his new album, It Is What It Is, which is set to release on April 3rd. On the podcast, Thundercat reveals that Childish Gambino is a hidden feature on this track, let’s hope he contributed to other cuts on the upcoming effort.
