Thundercat has been making waves on the mainstream scene for a while now and his latest effort, It Is What It Is has finally been released. Thundercat’s newest album comes at an interesting time with the title ironically fitting a lot of people’s mindset on our world’s situation.
It Is What It Is has been released under Brainfeeder Records and showcases a wide array of features, from Lil B to Steve Lacy to Zack Fox. This 15-track effort only stretches for 37 minutes but it’s full of special, emotional moments. Thundercat’s carved out a lane of his own and I expect him to show consistent progression as an artist and a consistent Twitter jokester.
