Cage The Elephant have shared their latest cut from upcoming new album Social Cues. The new track, entitled “Goodbye,” premiered this morning as the World Records on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show.
The song is pretty emotional, as lead singer Matt Shultz described it in his interview with Zane, its inspiration came from a time where everything that revolved around his life seemed to spiral out of control. It’s sad, to put it plainly, and I can only hope this was as cathartic for him and it’s felt for me. Though, if I’m being honest, this one may just become the anthem we turn to when we’re in our feels.
The band’s forthcoming fifth studio album will arrive April 19th on RCA Records. Stream “Goodbye” below.
