See A Previously Unreleased Performance of “Let’s Go Crazy” by Prince feat. Chris Rock, Jimmy Fallon, HAIM + more

posted by Oscar April 23, 2016

The tributes keep pouring in for the late Prince with artists, celebrities, and even heads-of-states paying their respects. Today we get a chance to see a little more of how magical the Purple One truly as footage emerges of his all-star performance of “Let’s Go Crazy” at last year’s SNL 40 special after-party.

Prince played a downtempo, Rock rendition of his classic song on a stage that also boasted past SNL cast members like Chris Rock, Jimmy Fallon, Maya Rudolph, and Bill Murray. Other lucky people onstage included HAIM, Cuba Gooding Jr., Emma Stone, and more.

Video: Jimmy Fallon Impersonates Bob Dylan To Perform Drake’s “Hotline Bling”

posted by Oscar January 14, 2016

Drake’s “Hotline Bling” is a hit song that simply doesn’t die, and truth be told, I don’t mind it. Jimmy Fallon has become the latest act to cover the track, but he does so dressed as 70s-era Bob Dylan, face-paint and all.

The Dylan-esque spin on this super catchy song is actually pretty damn good, giving you another to hear “Hotline Bling” over and over again.

posted by Oscar May 5, 2015

Jimmy Fallon connected with Jack Black to deliver yet another great music-inspired impersonation for a bit on The Tonight Show. This time around the comedians recreated the video for Extreme’s hit song “More Than Words.”

This tribute is a shot-for-shot remake and it’s simply fantastic. Check it out above.

Video: Will Smith & Jimmy Fallon Beatbox “It Takes Two” Using IPad App

posted by Oscar February 6, 2015

Another one of the huge stars that hit up The Tonight Show while it ran in LA was Will Smith, and while there he and Fallon made use of that looping app again to recreate “It Takes Two.” The whole thing is fascinating to me for some odd reason so here it is.

Video: Jimmy Fallon Recreates The ‘Fresh Prince’ Intro

posted by Oscar February 3, 2015

Well this is pretty stupid (see episode 1.1 for the reference)… On Monday night Jimmy Fallon paid homage to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air with the start of The Tonight Show’s week-long residence in Los Angeles.

Fallon recreated the classic intro, marking the perfect parallel between how both lead “characters” are headed for sunny LA. Fallon’s remake even featured some cameos from stars of the show with Jazzy Jeff playing the cab driver and Alfonso Ribeiro doing “the Carlton.” Check that out above.

Video: Will Ferrell vs. Kevin Hart vs. Jimmy Fallon in the Lip Synch Battle

posted by Oscar February 2, 2015

Jimmy Fallon’s lip-synch battles on The Tonight Show have gotten quite a following thanks to pulling together some of the biggest stars on the planet participating in the karaoke-like challenge. The latest celebrities to appear on the segment were the comedians Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell.

The latter really stole the show last night with his selection of Beyoncé’s “Drunk In Love.” I’m not the biggest fan of this bit, but the performance was the stuff of legend and he gave Queen Bey a run for her money. Ferrell also performed the Frozen hit, “Let It Go.”

As far as the other contestants went, Kevin Hart performed John Legend’s “All Of Me” and Katy Perry’s “Roar,” while host Jimmy Fallon picked Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone” and “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life,” taking it as far as bringing out Drew Barrymore to play the Cynthia Rhodes part for this Dirty Dancing tune.
