Detroit rapper Babyface Ray has been at the top of his game all 2022 receiving love from both fans and critics alike. Earlier this year Ray released his major label debut – FACE featuring a cast of star studding emcees along a string of videos and singles.
It seems there is no stopping Babyface Ray as he just released his sophomore full-length album, MOB. The singles leading up to the release of MOB, Nice Guy and Spend It gave us an expectation of what to expect sonically off this project; Especially on Spend It, where Ray deviates from his signature Detroit sound to showcase a more melodic and emotive cut featuring Nija and Blxst. His mainstream push continues as the other night he made his TV debut performing track Masterpiece on Jimmy Fallon. He performed this set showcasing a backdrop of the Renaissance Center and the Detroit River, showing love to his hometown.
MOB features 18 tracks with a runtime of a little over 50 minutes. The project has features from both Detroit stars like Samuel Shabazz and international superstars like Lil Durk.
