Riot Fest 2024 is underway and it’s already making this year’s edition a memorable one. While it was fun to rock out to Pop Punk anthems by Sum 41 and Fall Out Boy I grew up with and taking in all the vibes that come with being in a Cypress Hill crowd, my favorite performance of the day had to be The Offspring.
Dexter and co. doing an album play of Smash was a special moment, especially with their stage production featuring the top half of a massive skeleton looming in the background. The Offspring was on my shortlist of bands I loved as a teen that I hadn’t yet seen live, and this was such a dope way to finally experience their live show.
I didn’t get to shoot photos in the pit, but I made due with what a camera pass could give me and I feel like I managed to get some decent shots. Check those out below.
