Sudan Archives took to the stage at Thalia Hall for a sold-out show on her North American tour for The BPM in the most thrilling way possible. Her music blends experimental R&B, electronic sounds and hip-hop influenced by Western African fiddling styles all comes together in a beautiful crafted melody. The BPM album was released on October 17th and was recorded in Detroit and Chicago. Sudan Archives acknowledge to the audience that Chicago is her family’s hometown that helped influence the album’s creation.
Cain Culto
Cain Culto kicked off the night opening for Sudan Archives at Thalia Hall and delivered an incredible performance. Blending hip-hop with politically charged lyrics, backed by violin and drums, Culto kept the energy high and the crowd engaged. The audience felt empowered to sing along and sharing a strong sense of unity throughout his set.
