Beck’s latest mini-album Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime is a collection of beautifully curated standalone cover songs. The digital version is now available across all major streaming platforms, while the physical release is set for February 13th, exclusively on red vinyl via Capitol
The title track alone is one of Beck’s most recognizable covers. His rendition of The Korgis “Everybody’s Gotta to Learn Sometime,” is a song that gained recognition after its memorable appearance in the 2004 film Eternal Spotlight Of The Spotless Mind. The mini-album also includes Beck’s original song, “Ramona,” which debuted in the 2010 film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
The tracklist features Beck’s reinterpretations of classic songs originally performed by iconic artists including John Lennon’s “Love,” Caetano Veloso’s “Michelangelo Antonioni,” Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” and The Flamingos’ “I Only Have Eyes for You.” Listeners can also hear two unreleased cover recordings from Daniel Johnston “True Love Will Find You In The End” and Hank Williams “Your Cheatin’ Heart.”
