Peter Murphy, who you may know as the lead singer of Bauhaus, has released a new song entitled “Swoon.” Murphy recruited Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor for the track produced by YOUTH(Pink Floyd, Killing Joke, The Orb, Paul McCartney “The Firemen,” Faith No More, Alien Sex Fiend, Siouxsie and the Banshees), who provided a verse and backing vocals throughout the song.
“Swoon” will appear on Murphy’s forthcoming new album, Silver Shade, which will arrive May 9 via Metropolis. Check out the song below.
Peter stated about the collaboration via a press release:
I am both in the state of swoon as are my audience when witnessing my live performance. Trent Reznor cordially accepted my invitation to appear on the song, adding a welcome vibe on the second verse, as well as throughout the entire song in the form of backing vocalizing.
