Out West Chicago artist CP has released a hard-hitting new project called ‘MOTION MUZIK.’
CP has firmly established himself as an unparalleled figure in the Chicago hip-hop scene. What sets him apart is not only his distinctive deep and gravelly voice, but also his ability to adapt to an eclectic array of production styles and subgenres.
On ‘MOTION MUZIK’ CP boldly explores this idea, rapping over bass heavy trap beats on tracks like single “HAVIN MY WAY,” while also hopping on the haunted Lotto produced track “GLOCK WIT A BUTTON.”
In the collaboration track “CONSTELLATION” with Babytron, CP blends his flow and voice with a flint-style beat, creating a captivating sonic synergy.
The track list additionally has tracks with features from BLP Kosher and fellow Chicago-bred artist Warhol.ss. CP’s consistency is one to marvel at, and this project most definitely holds up.
