Video: Japanese Breakfast Plays “Be Sweet” in Late-Night TV debut on ‘The Tonight Show’

Japanese Breakfast was the musical guest on last night’s episode of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. The appearance marked Michelle Zauner’s late-night TV debut, performing Jubilee single “Be Sweet.”

The band treated fans to a second performance by playing “Jimmy Fallon Big!” off 2017’s Soft Sounds From Another Planet as a web exclusive. As host Jimmy Fallon explains in the intro, the track was written in response to their bass player quitting the band to join another one and telling Zauner this opportunity was for a band that was going to be “Jimmy Fallon big.” Funny thing is, he has since rejoined the group and now they’re playing on Fallon. See that performance below.Jubilee is due out June 4th via Dead Oceans.
