Iceage Release New Single/Video, “The Holding Hand”

Denmark’s finest, Iceage are announcing today that they’ve signed with label Mexican Summer. The band is kicking off their new relationship by sharing their single/video “The Holding Hand.”

The new single is moody and it builds slowly and steadily, accented by clashing cymbals. For the final 2 minutes, the guitars start really kicking into gear and frontman Bender Rønnenfelt vocals doing its part to feed into the noise piling up. It’s a fantastic tune.

The music video was helmed by director/director of photography Anders Malmberg, and it operates as a study of portraiture with the way the camera gets up close and personal with the band.

Malmberg shared about his video showcasing band members Rønnenfelt, Jakob Tvilling Pless, Johan Surrballe Wieth, Dan Kjær Nielsen and new member Casper Morilla Fernandez:

The band has such an amazing and soulful presence, and my aim was to create a cinematic experience around image reflections that would tie in closely to the narrative and the emotional atmosphere of the track, and let the authenticity that the band radiates feel ever present
