Helado Negro – “Sound and Vision” (David Bowie Cover)

Helado Negro is sharing today his cover of David Bowie’s “Sound and Vision.” The track was recorded for BBE Music’s forthcoming David Bowie tribute album, Modern Love, out May 28th.

The artist also known as Robert Carlos Lange strips the lead single off Bowie’s 1977 album Low from its bouncy and upbeat production and gives it an ambient, lo-fi makeover.

I can’t get over how distractingly wonderful the synths are in this version. Bring down the lights and let these sounds take you away to a space made up by your imagination. Stream Helado Negro’s David Bowie cover below.

Helado Negro shared about the cover via a press release:

The cover I imagined was something living in between sleep and awake where sound and vision dominate. Residue from your dream state mixed in with waking up and stirring into what the day will be.
