Pro Era member Nyck Caution has returned with Anywhere But Here. Nyck hasn’t dropped a full-length since Nyck @ Knight and Disguise The Limit in 2017 and 2016. Fortunately, we received some dope moments from Nyck on Beast Coast’s 2019 collaborative album, Escape From New York. That, along with his 2020 EP, Open Flame, got me hyped up for a fresh full-length effort from the New York-bred talent.
Anywhere But Here is an impressive 14-track offering that shows Nyck has some raw, consistent talent. The album takes many twists and turns production-wise but Nyck is able to produce a uniform, yet consistently unique sound with confidence; each one of his full-length releases feels like a cohesive compilation. No line is wasted and Nyck’s feature selection on Anywhere But Here completes the effort in a refined fashion.
