Making their first appearance on our pages are AQUIHAYAQUIHAY, a Monterrey, MX group generating quite the buzz in Mexico and soon enough will get their moment here in the States.
The group recently became the first act signed to Steve Aoki’s newly-launched Latin music-focused label Dim Mak En Fuego. They consider themselves an “anti-boyband,” exemplified by the diverse backgrounds of each member along with the fact that they sing, write, produce, & craft their own sound and vibe.
Their latest single is called “MUACK” and it is based around muted Trap production with a Pop aesthetic. The silky smooth vocals take a turn during the last minute or so, taking a very Monterrey direction by slowing the tempo down until it’s thick like molasses.
