Kota the Friend is back with his latest offering, “BQE”, a new single featuring Pro Era’s Joey Bada$$ as well as Dreamville-affiliate Bas.
Kota, per usual, effortlessly floats over this uptempo, chopped-up production, and offers a dope first verse that flows right into a clean and concise hook about cruising on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. Joey follows closely after with a tight feature and Bas comes in like Mariano Rivera to close in style. I dig Kota’s vibe a lot and to see two heavyweights in Joey and Bas impressively hop on a Kota-type-beat is enough to make this one a notable track for me. Shouts to the mixer of this amazing cut, Elton at Classick Studios.
