The Strokes Share New Song “Brooklyn Bridge to Chorus”

It’s finally the release week for the new album by The Strokes! The New Abnormal will arrive this Friday, April 10 via Cult/RCA, but just in case you couldn’t wait much longer for new jams, the band is unleashing “Brooklyn Bridge to Chorus.”

This tune has a synth-tastic leading riff that soon makes way for more of the traditional guitars/bass/drums combo we expect to hear from them. This song also explores the style of the 80s, with both the music and the lyrics make their own direct connections to the decade while lead singer Julian Casablancas veering into Morrissey/The Smiths territory vocally at one point.

The New Abnormal is The Strokes’ sixth studio album and was recorded at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu and produced by the legendary Rick Rubin. Jean-Michel Basquiat painting, Bird on Money, was used for the cover art.
