Video: Watch Shakira & Jennifer Lopez Shake Things Up During Their Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show

The 2020 Super Bowl halftime show featured Shakira & Jennifer Lopez, making this the first time two Latinas were given such a set on a global stage. The Colombian singer and her Puerto Rican co-star impressed as they gave the Miami crowd a probadita of what two of the biggest Latin artists can do with a spotlight like this.

Shakira opened the event with a medley including live renditions of “She Wolf,” “Empire” with a little taste of Zeppelin’s “Kashmir,” and “Whenever Wherever.” The first big moment came with the guest appearance of Bad Bunny to do a bit of “I Like It” and “Chantaje,” with Shakira following up with an eye-catching performance of her iconic song “Hips Don’t Lie.”

J.Lo for her part did a medley of her hits as well that featured “Jenny From the Block,” “Ain’t it Funny,” “Get Right,” and “Waiting for Tonight.” The Bronx native also brought out a reggeatonero of her own in J Balvin, performing “Que Calor” and “Mi Gente” before kicking into “My Love Don’t Cost a Thing.”

Once worlds collided, the pair would trade off performances with Lopez playing “On the Floor” and “Let’s Get Loud” (with a cameo from her daughter Emme for an injection of Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA”), and Shakira doing her original football anthem “Waka Waka.”

The LIV edition of football’s biggest game was also the first time since Gloria Estefan to feature a Latina perform the halftime show.

Impressive choreography, hoards of dancers, world-conquering hits, fireworks, guest stars, mesmerizing hip shaking, and even pole dancing. Shakira and J.Lo killed it. See it all go down above.
