Joe Freshgoods Delivers Limited-Edition Merch Experience as Creative Director of The Royal Pop-Up with Crown Royal Regal Apple

Last weekend, Chicago was host to some of the biggest names across the basketball world, so it was only right that our city showed them just how things are done in the city by the lake. The sport is as much a part of the cultural fabric of Chicago as are fashion and the arts, so an event of this magnitude beckoned something dope. One of the main creative forces that our city boasts is one Joe Freshgoods, who took the reins as Creative Director of The Royal Pop-up as part of a partnership with Crown Royal Regal Apple.

The result was the launch of their new capsule collection, ROYAL APPLE GOODS. The limited-edition collection was made available over that weekend, and it included custom created apparel and accessories such as sneaker bags, hoodies, t-shirts and bandanas. The cherry on top had to be the branded JFG x Crown Royal bags, transforming those signature bags to fit either 1 or 2 individual sneakers, depending on their size.

If you were able to cop some of these pieces, you’re part of the lucky few. If you weren’t so lucky, then click through the gallery below to gaze through the Crown Royal x Joe Freshgoods capsule collection.

The invite-only pop up shop in the West Loop was designed as a one-stop gathering that kept attendees fresh during the city’s star-studded weekend, including sneaker cleaning stations, barbering services, and signature Crown Royal cocktails.

Joe Freshgoods said the following via the press release:

I’ve always had a great love affair with Crown Royal, so this partnership felt like the thing to do. They’re re-defining royalty in a way that’s relevant to a new generation – to creators and people and from all walks of life – and I’m really excited to be a part of it… With this Crown Royal Regal Apple capsule collection, we’re making something fun, cool and fresh that inspires self-expression and bridges the intersections of art and culture, while taking inspiration from my hometown of Chicago. This will be an historic weekend.
