Dreamville took over 2019 with a one-of-a-kind collaborative album entitled “Revenge of the Dreamers III”.
The team is back in 2020; “1/16” is their first offering since the album release and they clearly haven’t skipped a beat. The first track, “BUSSIT” is a beautifully seductive, laid-back, and intimate cut. Ari is a top-tier vocalist and she’s got a dope team of producers/artists around her to collaborate with. Next in the pack is an Earthgang-led track entitled “Still Up” featuring TDE’s Reason. This track features a more uptempo style; “Still Up” features a great chorus that fades well into each verse. Reason offers an aggressive feature that contrasts well with both Johnny Venus’ sporadic tone and Doctur Dot’s quick rhymes.
