POD Photos: Danny Brown at Metro (11/7)

Hip Hop’s most charismatic rapper Danny Brown graced Chicago Thursday night and came through to the Metro to play some of his most popular songs and collaborations as he showcased tracks from his most recent album, uknowhatimsayin¿.

Alongside Danny, joining him on tour was the up & coming rappers Zelooperz and Ashnikko. Both warmed up the crowd, all while they had their bass heavy enough to the point that you could think the roof was going to collapse. Along with showing what they can do on the mic spitting bar after bar, they also made sure to interact with the fans to treat the early-comers with an interactive experience.

When Danny Brown finally came on stage, he kept the energy alive and got the crowd jumping with his first two songs “Dirty Laundry” and “Black Brad Pitt.” By the time he started playing “Smokin & Drinkin,” he had managed to create moshpits throughout the crowd that at some points your best option was to just join the fun and rage with everyone, and then you can see for yourself why things went this way. The show got even wilder as Danny continued to rap each song non-stop for the next hour.

With Danny Brown constantly changing his music and sound, people may think his shows might change as well but to the contrary, the Detroit rapper keeps the same fun and hypeness that are his signature for his live appearances, raging throughout the concert and never giving you a break. And that’s exactly how we like it. As Danny continues to drop more music, he’ll only continue to show people why he’s a heavyweight on the mic and further prove that he’s here to stay in the Rap game.
