The White Stripes Announce 20th Anniversary Box Set for Self-Titled Debut Album

If you’re a die-hard fan of The White Stripes, this is exactly the kind of news that you’ve been dying to receive. Jack and Meg White’s first venture as The White Stripes will be celebrating 20 years this year, and that anniversary of the release of their debut album is rewarding fans with a new special edition box set.

The White Stripes XX was newly mixed by leader Jack White at his Third Man Studios and will feature outtakes from the making of the album, a live LP from a show in Raleigh, plus a DVD of two shows in Michigan from 1999, and 24-page booklet.

To preview the box set, Third Man Records is sharing the previously unreleased White Stripes cover of Burt Bacharach’s “My Little Red Book.” Stream that clip below.
