Woodstock 50th Anniversary Festival Lineup Announced feat. Jay-Z, Chance The Rapper, The Black Keys

Woodstock pretty much defines what a music festival aspires to live up to, so for the iconic fest’s return this year to coincide with its 50th anniversary, the lineup had to offer something special. That last part is now up for examination with the announcement of the lineup, which includes headline slots for the likes of The Raconteurs, The Black Keys, Chance The Rapper, Jay-Z, and Cage The Elephant.

But it sure doesn’t end there, with Santana, Dead & Company (featuring members of The Grateful Dead, plus John Mayer), John Fogerty (famously of Creedence Clearwater Revival), Canned Heat, and Hot Tuna are among the artists returning from the original lineup.

Of the more contemporary acts of note I’d highlight the Killers, Run the Jewels, Janelle Monáe, Margo Price, Courtney Barnett, Vince Staples, Earl Sweatshirt, Princess Nokia, and Robert Plant. Check out the full lineup above or on the fest website.

The fest will take place from August 16-18 in Watkins Glen, New York.
