If you thought Desiigner’s hit “Timmy Turner” was already dope, just wait until you hear this new remix. The remix now has an added verse by the G.O.O.D. music alpha Kanye West. No word on whether this is only a snippet but let’s hope the full version drops soon.

Kanye West’s New Song for addidas “The Dream” Campaign for World Cup

posted by Alex May 24, 2014

We’re just weeks away from the biggest show on earth that comes every four years. Why not add one of the world’s most popular entertainers into the mix with the World Cup, right? That’s what adidas did when they brought in Kanye West for their “The Dream” Campaign for the World Cup. There’s no title to the track but we’re thinking it might be called “God Level”. The ad features some of the most exiting futbol players that you’ll catch in this year’s tournament rocking the adidas badge as well as Kanye’s track. Peep it above.

Video: Kanye West – “We Should’ve Never Ever Let MJ Play For The Wizards”

posted by Oscar December 19, 2013

Kanye’s 2-night stint in his hometown’s United Center is quickly becoming the stuff of legend. We were present at the first show where Yeezy ranted about his new situation with Adidas, among many other things, and last night he delivered another gem. In what is commonly being labeled as “We Should’ve Never Ever Let MJ Play For The Wizards,” Kanye gave Chicago a track about the G.O.A.T., Michael Jordan.

Check that out above.

Video: A Tribe Called Quest feat. Busta Rhymes – “Scenario” Live on ‘Yeezus’ Tour

posted by Oscar November 21, 2013

One of the greatest songs ever in Hip Hop? A Tribe Called Quest’s “Scenario.”

A Tribe Called Quest has been a supporting act on select dates of Kanye’s Yeezus Tour and last night at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center Q-Tip and the rest of ATCQ performed the classic accompanied by Busta Rhymes. From the looks of it, Brooklyn really lit up once Busta hit the stage to do his part of the track. I have to admit my jealousy for anyone who was able to witness this.

Video: Zane Lowe Interviews Kanye West [Update]

posted by Oscar September 26, 2013

The first part of the in-depth interview of Kanye West by BBC Radio 1’s iconic broadcaster, Zane Lowe, is now available. It’s intense and super informative, making this a must-see if you’re a fan of Yeezy’s music.

On part 1, Kanye opens up about the making of Yeezus, the influence of Michael Jackson, the impact of his every move and how that has lead to “Rap (being) the new Rock & Roll.”

[Update] See pt. 1 above and we’ll update this as soon parts 2-4 are available to see below. Continue Reading

Video: Kanye West feat. Charlie Wilson – “Bound 2” (Live on ‘Jools’)

posted by Oscar September 18, 2013

Kanye  appeared on Britain’s Later… With Jools Holland and performed his soulful track “Bound 2” accompanied by Charlie Wilson. This performance isn’t as well orchestrated as his live rendition on Fallon but it still feels just as intense and emotive.

Video: Kanye West feat. The Roots – “Bound 2” (Live on ‘Fallon’)

posted by Oscar September 10, 2013

Kanye hit up Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to promote his new Yeezus Tour. Yeezy performed “Bound 2” with a little help from a choir, Charlie Wilson for the hook and the Late Night house band, The Roots. Mr. West killed it!

Please note, the reworked line “one good girl is worth a thousand chickens” instead of the original that states “…. a thousand bitches,” is terrible and awesome all at once.

Video: Chance The Rapper Covers Kanye’s “All Falls Down” Live In Paris

posted by Oscar August 24, 2013

Without a doubt, two of Chicago’s biggest acts these days are Kanye West and Chance The Rapper. During the latter’s set in Paris, Chano performed a cover of Yeezus’ famous hit “All Falls Down.” The Chicago connection sounds great in this live rendition and one can only hope that this is foreshadowing something to come between the rappers.

See a couple more clips of his set at Rock en Seine below. Continue Reading

Kanye West vs. Depeche Mode Mashup – “Personal Yeezus”

posted by Oscar July 1, 2013

Personal Yeezus

This seems almost too perfect. Kanye West’s “Black Skinhead” got mashed up with Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus” to give us “Personal Yeezus.” Yeezy’s lyrics and Marilyn Manson-sampling drums fit perfectly with the riff off of “Personal Jesus,” coming off as electric and powerful as the originals. Hear Chambaland’s awesome mashup below. Continue Reading

Kanye West’s ‘Yeezus’ Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard Charts

posted by Alberto June 25, 2013

Kanye West Yeezus Official ArtworkKanye’s 6th studio album, Yeezus, won the first week sales battle for albums that came out June 18th. J. Cole’s Born Sinner was really the only person that had a good chance of taking down Kanye. Cole was just a little over 30k shy of selling more than Kanye. Mac Miller’s Watching Movies With The Sound Off sold an impressive 101k despite going up against two major artists. Official numbers will be released tomorrow. Congrats to all 3 artists. It was definitely a good week for hip hop.
