Video: Will Smith Gives Surprise Performance of “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It” on ‘Letterman’

posted by Oscar February 19, 2015

I don’t know about y’all, but back in the day I loved me some “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It” so when footage came out of Will Smith’s impromptu performance of the 90s track on last night’s episode of the Late Show with David Letterman, there was no doubt I had to post it.

Smith was to participate in the customary panel interview, so for his entrance music the Letterman house band decided to play “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It.” Smith took advantage of the moment and took the mic and started rapping his raps for the song!

It’s cheesy, but whatever. Check that out above.

Video: Will Smith & Jimmy Fallon Beatbox “It Takes Two” Using IPad App

Another one of the huge stars that hit up The Tonight Show while it ran in LA was Will Smith, and while there he and Fallon made use of that looping app again to recreate “It Takes Two.” The whole thing is fascinating to me for some odd reason so here it is.

Video: Will and Jaden Smith Perform The Theme from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

posted by Oscar May 25, 2013

Admit it. You’ve always wanted to see this happen. Hell, even Yeezus wants the Fresh Prince come back out of Rap retirement! So, while on the promotional tour for his new film After Earth (featuring his son Jaden), Will Smith put together a mini Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion at the Graham Norton Show. The man behind “Getting Jiggy Wit It” performed the show’s theme song with DJ Jazzy Jeff and son Jaden on hypeman duties. Then, Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton) came out to do his signature “Carlton Dance” along with the Smiths to the tune of Tom Jones’ “It’s Not Unusual.”

If you grew watching the show, this was just plain great.
