Jake Bugg – “What Doesn’t Kill You” (Acoustic)

Jake Bugg What Doesn't Kill You

Jake Bugg’s sophomore album (Shangri La) dropped yesterday, 11/19, and today we get an acoustic version of lead single, “What Doesn’t Kill You.” The song, in its original version, is a Punk-y track that packs a good punch and this stripped down acoustic version stays true to that while showcasing Bugg’s vocal abilities and his guitar work under minimal production. It was good but, for someone who’s a sucker for guitar solos, I wish Bugg would have added one on this version.

Hear it over at Pigeons & Planes.

Video: Jake Bugg – “What Doesn’t Kill You” Live on ‘Conan’

posted by Oscar October 2, 2013

Jake Bugg went on Conan to play his latest track, “What Doesn’t Kill You.” The song took our site by storm and for good reason, but seeing it performed live on the late night stage shows just what’s making this guy’s music so special. Needless to say, but I’m really excited for Bugg’s upcoming album, Shangri La.

Jake Bugg has unveiled a new single titled “What Doesn’t Kill You.” BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe made the clip live and you can listen to it on their site. The track sounds like classic Punk and you can feel Rick Rubin’s influence on it. According to NME, this is the lead single to his album titled Shangri La (the name of Rubin’s studios), due out November 18.

Listen now: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/. The single will be available starting midnight tonight (Sept. 24).
