12 Dopest Things We Saw at SXSW 2015

POD was back in Austin this past week once again covering the iconic festival SXSW and it’s pretty safe to say that we had the best one yet.

With having been down in ATX for pretty much the entire duration of the fest, we were able to take in shows in every possible extent in all sorts of venues. While many of these acts are bands and artists we’ve seen several times before back home like Chance The Rapper and Twin Peaks, we also took in shows from artists that we’ve only covered regarding studio releases, plus some surprises.

We also had our photographer Ruben Bustillo around and he captured some great shots of what went down in ATX like Snoop’s keynote as seen above; check those out after the list.

Dopest Live Shows of 2014

posted by Oscar December 23, 2014

For the final post of our year-end list series we name the Dopest Live Shows of 2014. The best thing about making this list is that we get to look back at the year that was and have it serve as a little reminder that we got to experience some excellent concerts. Much like every year since we’ve been in existence, we largely attended shows in our home city of Chicago, but this 2K14 we had the chance to attend a couple of festivals in cities like Austin, Minneapolis and NYC, that wound up being some of the best experiences ever.

From club gigs to world-renowned major festivals, here are the Dopest Live Shows of 2014. Continue Reading

Video: Vic Mensa at SXSW 2014 [Recap]

posted by Oscar March 28, 2014

One of the few artists that we made absolute sure that we would see down at SXSW was SaveMoney’s Vic Mensa, and while we included Vic as one of the dopest acts we saw in ATX this month, the few clips we captured were only small glimpses at all this guy did down there all week. Verluxe put together a recap of Vic’s multiple appearances such as MTVU’s Woodie Awards, Thrasher x Converse, and Fader Fort + snippets of his latest song, “Major Pain.”

Relive those performances/see what you missed out on above.
