HBO Vinyl

As the first season of HBO’s Vinyl wraps up this weekend, today we get the release of its full soundtrack. Among the standouts is Julian Casablancas’s latest take on a Lou Reed/Velvet Underground song. The Strokes lead singer took on VU’s “Venus In Furs” for the soundtrack, which follows up previous covers of tracks like “White Light White Heat” and “Run Run Run.”

James Williamson - Relicked

Our first look at this album features our guy, Mario Cuomo of The Orwells who’s providing vocals on “I’m Sick Of You.” Hear it below and see the track list below. Continue Reading

The Orwells played songs like new single “Who Needs You” (shown above), “Blood Bubbles,” “In My Bed,” with a cover of The Stooges’ “Now I Wanna Be Your Dog” serving as a perfect set closer/encore.
