Lollapalooza 2017 Lineup Features Chance The Rapper, Arcade Fire, Blink-182, Big Sean & more

posted by Oscar March 22, 2017

It’s heeeeeere!! The Lollapalooza lineup has arrived in the early, early hours of the morning (6am tho?!) and less than one day after 4-day passes sold out, we find out who’s playing Grant Park between August 3-6.

Chance all but confirmed his inclusion yesterday, but now we come to learn that young Chance The Rapper is actually the first name on this year’s lineup! Joining him to headline the storied festival are Arcade Fire, Muse, Blink-182, Cage The Elephant, Lorde, Run The Jewels, Alt-J, Big Sean, and The Shins.

But as with every year, it’s not just about the headliners!! Some of the other dope names that this year’s roster has to offer are other POD favorites like Migos, Spoon, Kaytranada, Ryan Adams, Phantogram, Mac DeMarco, Royal Blood, Highly Suspect, Aminé, Joey Bada$$, Charli XCX, Sampha, and Maggie Rogers.

Along with Chano, the Chicago presence on this lineup is also quite dope. This year we can catch acts that we fully endorse like Whitney, Noname, The O’My’s, Kweku Collins, and The Walters as the hometown highlights.

At the time of publication, you can still purchase single-day tickets on the Lollapalooza website.

See the lineup in the poster above or listed below. Continue Reading

Broken Bells have unveiled their latest record, “After The Disco,” their first after their last album dropped in 2010. The collaboration between Danger Mouse and James Mercer (The Shins) is sounding pretty alright on the title track and looks to be a good sign of what’s to come from their second studio album, set for a February 4 release.

posted by Oscar October 12, 2012

Austin’s Zilker Park has opened its doors for the sold-out 2012 Austin City Limits Festival. Since most of us won’t be in attendance, ACL will live-stream many of their sets on YouTube for all three days of the festival from October 12-14.

The stream kicks off with First Aid Kit at 1:30 p.m. CST (which is 2:30 p.m. EST and 11:30 a.m. PST) on Friday, wraps things up with the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 8:30 p.m. set on Sunday. Viewers will be treated to 39 acts out of ACL’s 130-plus lineup for live streaming, including the Shins, Thievery Corporation, the Weeknd, and Childish Gambino. Continue Reading
