Supa Bwe – “Show Me” (featuring Taylor Bennett) & “Run a Check Up”

posted by Alex March 13, 2016

Supa Bwe’s giving us a nice little Sunday treat today by dropping two tracks. The first one is called “Show Me” and it features Taylor Bennett. “I smoke my spliff in the shower cause that b**ch did me dirty” sticks to your head as both artists really do the track its justice. The composition of the track is perfect. The other track is called “Run a Check Up” and it’s produced by Supa Bwe himself with help from Shepard Hues. “Run a Check Up” will take you on a nice little trip as it starts rather calm but turns into something energetic that we can expect from Supa. Take a listen to both tracks below and don’t forget to thank Supa Bwe for blessing us all on this lovely Sunday.

Taylor Bennett - Broad Shoulders

Taylor Bennett has delivered his new album Broad Shoulders, his follow-up to last year’s Mainstream Music mixtape. This new batch of material coming at you at the tail-end of 2015 features a collection of some of Chicago’s best acts like Joey Purp, King Louie, Donnie Trumpet, and big bro Chance The Rapper, among others.

Something worth noting is that this sample-free tape with Ludlow manning the production reins was executive-produced by Tay Bennett Entertainment and UPNORTH Music and co-executive-produced by Joseph Cabey. Also, the album’s cover art was designed by none other than Hebru Brantley! Dopeness is in the details!

Stream the tape below and read the accompanying interview over at Rolling Stone. Continue Reading

Taylor Bennett feat. Brill – “Happy Place”

posted by Oscar November 2, 2015

Yo it’s been a while since Tay has dropped something but that silent period finally comes to an end this weekend as he drops his new single and its visuals. The younger Bennett’s latest joint features Brill and it is called “Happy Place,” with Thelonious Stokes-directed visuals that sure make it easy for you to understand how that title came about.

The Broad Shoulders project is given an excellent first look via this one-two punch, thanks to the song’s bright themes and uptempo delivery, while the visuals boast some dope choreography from DLow. Check it all out above.
