SZA Shares Video for “Supermodel”

posted by Oscar July 31, 2017

Top Dawg Entertainment’s SZA has released the music video for “Supermodel,” one of the brilliant tracks from her brilliant 2017 album, Ctrl.

In the visual, directed by Nabil, we find the singer rock her dopest, barely-there outfit as she struts through a forest that plays like nature’s runway, as fairy children gas her up along the way. After that, SZA finds herself in a playground as schoolchildren help her shoot fireworks in retaliation at a man, much like the one you hear described in the lyrics.

The lady is looking flawless and like the supermodel of your dreams. Check out the new video above.

SZA kills it (and Travis Scott) in “Love Galore” Video

posted by Tali April 30, 2017

The lovely SZA has kept us on the longest wait of the century, without question. But #CTRL is lurking around, and although there is no certain set release date, the hints continue to float amongst her twitter.

To contain our stress and angst, she recently released track, “Love Galore,” featuring Travis Scott. The duo intensely grabs the audience attention with its unusual visual variety. With the talented touch of director, Nabil,  (also responsible for the directing of Kendrick Lamar’s video for ‘DNA’)  the video is aesthetically pleasing to say the least. With her words to her angelic moves on screen, she’s quite the sight to witness.

Watch above as the Goddess shifts from a moment of intimacy to revenge in a matter of minutes. Or put it on repeat for a couple days, below.

SZA releases new single “Drew Barrymore”

posted by Tali January 13, 2017

The lovely SZA has continuously teased us with singles on singles, and countless features on other projects, as we patiently await her own! Now, she’s back at it again with her latest single, “Drew Barrymore”!

The single is a beautiful ode to her loving herself and the low self esteem  even she still battles from time to time. Her genuine and surreal vocals serenade her audience and compliments the flow of the melody; exactly what to expect from this TDE beaut! She had us at Narcos & Tacos, let’s be honest. Listen below, and fall in love a little bit more.

Future Collab’s We’d like to see…

posted by JuicyJackie September 22, 2015

Thanks to the recent collaboration between Future & Drake on the “What a Time to Be Alive” album I wondered, What other collabs would I like to hear?

Kehlani x JoJo: I saw a photo of the two together and was so happy they met. Due to record label issues JoJo has had a hard time putting music out. If you remember Jojo you remember “Leave (Get Out)” the anthem to every girl calling out a guy. With Kehlani’s “You Should be Here” mixtape she pushes to help girls realize their power. Now image if the two linked up to create beautiful girl power tracks… OH MY LORDT.

Kehlani x Ginuwine: Okay… Yeah I’m a big Kehlani fan. Kehlani sampled Ginuwine’s track “So Anxious” on her track “Get Away.” If you listened to Drake’s “Legend” he also sampled the track, maybe some inspiration from Lani? Ginuwine also posted a video to his instagram dancing to Kehlani’s music with his daughter. Kehlani has spoke of her love of old school R&B and how she grew up on it in multiple interviews. Mixing some old school R&B with some new school R&B is bound to make a kick ass collab.

Kanye West x Chance the Rapper: I think we’re all waiting on this one. I honestly believe the two already have a track.Chance has talked about being inspired by Kanye and even got a shout out from him at a concert. The two seem to have a pretty cool relationship, I’m sure we’re bound to get a track. Maybe we’ll hear from Chance on Kanye’s next album…. when ever that drops…

Kendrick Lamar x NonameGypsy: Personally I believe they’re both truly poet’s.You can recognize  Noname’s voice anywhere. Her voice and rhymes are exactly what KDOT track needs. A track from these two would really bring Hip Hop back to life.

Kanye West x Kendrick Lamar:  Two of my favorite rappers, I wonder… WHY HASN’T THIS HAPPENED YET??? Of course the two of them have worked together, KDOT worked on Kanye’s track “All Day.”  The two have expressed that they are inspired by each other. Kanye even took to twitter (rare) to talk about Kendrick’s “To Pimp a Butterfly.” I’m sure we can all agree all the material we’ve listened to from Kendrick and Kanye is amazing. A track from the two would truly be a piece of art. :’)

Lucki X x Earl Sweatshirt: A track that would trip you the fuck out, no drugs needed. These two have exchanged twitter words multiple times and everytime I think about them working together. Personally I would really like to hear a Lowlife remix ft. Earl.

Mick Jenkins x SZA: They both give me a chill, slow down, and relax type vibe. I think SZA would be very down with drinking more water. Her voice.. Micks raps… sooo smooth…
If I had to choose one of these Collaborations to come to life, I think I’d go with Kanye West x Kendrick Lamar. Did you agree with some of the collabs on this list? Who would you like to see work together on a track or mixtape?

Video: Jon Hamm, Zach Galifianakis, Chance The Rapper, Jack Antonoff Perform at Bonnaroo’s SuperJam

posted by Oscar June 14, 2015

Bonnaroo’s SuperJam is always one the key things that makes this festival special but this year it was even bigger as it was curated by Pretty Lights, Run-D.M.C.’s Darryl McDaniels and Metallica bassist Rob Trujillo, billed as an Eighties-themed “Throwback Superjam Dance Party.”

The 80’s theme got kicked off with Jon Hamm and Zach Galifianakis performing the charity anthem of the decade, “We Are The World.” Later on Chance The Rapper delivered some cool moments with his medley of covers including DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince’s “Summertime,” Biggie Small’s “Juicy,”  and later in the night covering Bell Biv Devoe’s “Poison” and Montell Jordan’s “This is How We Do It.”

Other highlights included SZA singing Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel” and duetting with Bleachers’ Jack Antanoff for a cover of Queen and David Bowie’s “Under Pressure,” and DMC performing some of his old Run DMC hits.

To sum it all up, this was perhaps the best and coolest party of the year (so far). Check out some clips below. Continue Reading
