posted by JuicyJackie October 28, 2016

We named The Skins our favorite SXSW Discovery back in April. We’ve kept an eye out for them and we’re happy to hear some new music. “Bury Me” is the Skins latest single & it also features D.R.A.M.. The combo makes for a funky, soulful, electric song, which are some words I would also use to describe The Skins. This is the first single off of The Skin’s new project coming out soon…

Why we LOVE Ravyn Lenae..

posted by JuicyJackie March 30, 2016

Why can’t I stop talking about Ravyn Lenae?

Well… If you’ve listened to her music, you have an idea. She’s my current obsession & my favorite female Chicago artist. There’s something truly magical about Ravyn & her music. Seeing her live is a beautiful experience. I’ve tried to catch her live in Chicago anytime I can. I also did get to se her perform at SXSW. To me, Ravyn is more than a singer, performer or entertainer; She’s an artist.

Ravyn’s powerful energy mixed with her soulful tunes leave you feeling pure bliss. She captivates the whole crowd with her beauty & her voice. If you didn’t know her music, you would leave her performance a fan.

At a Ravyn Lenae concert I sing & dance like I never have before. I really enjoy seeing her live. I told Ravyn about my love for her music & she told me she loved my energy. It’s awesome to interact with one of my favorite artists, I love to let them know how much I appreciate them.

She’s truly a breath of fresh air.

Lenae works closely with Monte Booker; I saw him in the crowd @ one of Ravyn’s SXSW shows. I loved how he was completely into the music; some of which he helped produce. Seeing him bop his head in nods of approval reminds me of all the hard work these artists have put into their music. Booker is also one of my favorite music makers right now. The two make beautiful music together & separately.

The Zero Fatigue squad was heavy at SXSW to perform & support their fam. Lenae & Booker are also part of the Zero Fatigue team. I’m truly a fan of the whole team.

I’ve been lucky enough to see multiple unforgettable performances. Lenae is already becoming a known name. I’m excited to see the boundaries she’ll break & the amazing impact she’ll have on the music industry. One thing is for sure, she’s a beautiful woman who has some beautiful things to say, this won’t be the last you hear of Lenae.

If you haven’t seen her perform you’re truly missing out.
