Joseph Chilliams Releases Debut Album: ‘Henry Church’

posted by Oscar August 24, 2017

Today’s the day we finally get blessed with Joseph Chilliams’ debut album, Henry Church! The Pivot Gang member has long been a POD-favorite since we first saw him bust some moves at Reggie’s many years ago, and our wait for this moment has been completely proved to be worthwhile from the second I pushed play on this project.

Chilliams’ imaginative, quirky, creative bars are the perfect thing to fill your earballs with what will surely be your new favorite sounds.

Henry Church has guest features from fellow Pivot Gang members MfnMelo and Saba plus the late, great dinnerwithjohn, as well as Noname, Supa Bwe, Add-2, and Jamila Woods, among others.

As bipolar as Chicago weather might be, the vibes from POD stay consistent. So here’s a playlist that’ll getcha through the storm.

The playlist consists of multiple artists/tracks, old & new, to vibe with on any rainy  occasion really.  Of course all of 6lack’s album had to be on there, with some throwback Travis Scott, and a lot more to check out. In addition, recruitment of Supa Bwe’s unique flow was a no brainer, with a good amount of Isaiah Rashad to finish it off. But you’ll just have to check it out yourself.

So kick back and listen below:

Video: Supa Bwe feat. Chance The Rapper – “Fool Wit It Freestyle”

posted by Oscar October 5, 2016

Supa Bwe has shared his super dope visuals for “Fool Wit It Freestyle,” his collaboration with Chance The Rapper. The music video is a full, colorful animation that follows both artists in a mountainous terrain, where Chano walks through a floral jungle while a giant Supa(aaaaa) who stands taller than clouds strolls through the landscape. Stay through to the end where we get some pseudo end credits that show a plane with the song’s producer Cam O’bi, along with Abel Gray, who contributed the animation we see before us.

Gotta pay my respects to these guys for what they delivered here! Check it out above.

Supa Bwe releases “I’M DONE BALLIN” (EP)

posted by Tali June 6, 2016

im done ballin

In the lowest of keys, Supa Bwe decided to give his fans a little EP while they await DEAD AGAIN 3, which is set to drop July 4th. Although this surprise EP only contains three tracks, Freddy continues to showcase his magic as well as his unique rap style.

My personal favorite of the three on I’M DONE BALLIN would have to be  ‘VVS SHORDY’. The way he decides to kill verses then slows it down with a more melodic flow when he refers to his shorty. He’s let us know that this is only one of the many surprises he has in store for us via Twitter & Snapchat, so stay updated with the young artist and be sure to listen to his latest here!

posted by Alex March 13, 2016

Supa Bwe’s giving us a nice little Sunday treat today by dropping two tracks. The first one is called “Show Me” and it features Taylor Bennett. “I smoke my spliff in the shower cause that b**ch did me dirty” sticks to your head as both artists really do the track its justice. The composition of the track is perfect. The other track is called “Run a Check Up” and it’s produced by Supa Bwe himself with help from Shepard Hues. “Run a Check Up” will take you on a nice little trip as it starts rather calm but turns into something energetic that we can expect from Supa. Take a listen to both tracks below and don’t forget to thank Supa Bwe for blessing us all on this lovely Sunday.
