posted by Oscar March 7, 2013

Dave Grohl is finding excellent success with his documentary, Sound City, about the legendary California studio of the same name. The soundtrack also features an All-Star group with original material, including Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) and Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails).

In this clip you’ll see Grohl, Homme, and Reznor performing the eight-minute cut live in the studio for the song “Mantra.” The soundtrack Sound City: Real to Reel, will be out March 12th; listen to the whole album over at NPR. The Sound City film is available now and the Sound City Players are set to play SXSW on March 14th; Grohl holding keynote speaker duties at the festival.
