Rhymesayers 20th Anniversary

Rhymesayers’ 20th Anniversary concert has officially been announced and it is going to be the biggest party in Minnesota since Soundset earlier this year. Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Aesop Rock, Grieves, Dilated Peoples, Freeway, Jake One and many, many more will be gracing the stage on December 4th at Target Center. You know we will be making our way out there to take in the festivities.

Tickets officially go on sale tomorrow (10/15) and will only be $20! If you are interested in getting some VIP tickets, those will run you $100. For more information on tickets, click HERE.

Soundset 2015 Music Festival Lineup

Just received word from Soundset Music Festival of this year’s lineup for Sunday, May 24th. Looks like Chi town native, Vic Mensa will be present along with J. Cole, Big Sean, Ludacris, Logic, Yelawolf, Dilated Peoples, Vince Staples, Ice Cube, Freddie Gibbs & Madlib, Smif-N-Wessun, Brother Ali and of course Atmosphere. It looks like Sway will be hosting once again, hopefully he’ll be bringing the lovey Heather B and Tracy G with him as well. Stay in tune as tickets will be out for sale real soon.

Soundset is a can’t miss music festival for any hip hop fan, check out last year’s write up HERE. FYI, last year was sold completely sold out, so make sure to stay on top of things this year.

New Video: Panik ft Psalm One – Queen Until

Panik from the legendary Molemen Records has an upcoming album called, “Coloring Outside the Lines”. For “Queen Until”,  one of the tracks he produced, he brought in Rhymesayers’s own Psalm One. Soundset 2012 Recap

The fifth annual Soundset HipHop Festival took place this past Sunday at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota, which is a short drive from the twin cities. Despite the 90-degree weather, this year’s festival was attended by more than 20,000 people from all over the country. The festival had many activities going on throughout the day including a live graffiti wall exhibition, a skateboarding showdown, a DJ tent with B-Boys and B-Girls, a rock climbing wall, custom car show and the most important of all, three stages filled with Hip Hop acts performing throughout the entire fest. There was more than enough time to take part in each activity given that the fest opened its doors at 11am and went on until about 7:30.
