Video: Arctic Monkeys – “Snap Out Of It” on ‘Jools Holland’

The Arctic Monkeys hit another major BBC show, Later with Jools Holland, and played a different-than-the-usual cut off new album AM. I dig “R U Mine?” and “Do I Wanna Know?” (key tracks on the album) but its refreshing to see another track played live, especially “Snap Out Of It.” It sounds livelier than how it comes off in the studio version, shining a different, better light on the track.

Arctic Monkeys Perform on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

After being bumped the night they were originally scheduled to perform due to that now famous Kanye West interview, Arctic Monkeys finally performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The band played “Do I Wanna Know?” (seen above) and “R U Mine?”, the two biggest tracks from their latest release, AM.

Arctic Monkeys - AM

The Arctic Monkeys’ first album, Whatever People Say I am, That’s What I’m Not, is pure 2kRock awesomeness and it made them one of my favorite modern bands. Now “the Monkeys” are releasing their 5th studio album, AM, and it’s sounding like a proper new effort. In interviews prior to this release, lead singer Alex Turner revealed that the new album was inspired by Black Sabbath and Dr. Dre. At first glance, it’s easy to notice the influence of the Godfathers of Metal, but Dre’s signature sound is a tad bit more difficult to hear.
