Video: Cast Of ‘Parks and Rec’ Bid Farewell w/Live Performance of “5000 Candles In The Wind”

posted by Oscar February 25, 2015

Last night saw the end of an era with the airing of the series finale of Parks and Recreation. To say farewell, the show’s entire main cast got together to appear on Late Night with Seth Meyers like one of those MTV reunion shows, except with a lot less teen moms.

As their appearance drew to a close, Amy Poehler, Chris Pratt, Aubrey Plaza, Nick Offerman, Aziz Ansari, Adam Scott, Retta, and Jim O’Heir (the dreadful Jerry/Larry/Terry/Garry) said goodbye with a final performance of Mouse Rat’s Li’l Sebastian tribute song, “5000 Candles in the Wind.” Oh and keep your eyes open early on in this clip, because for the first time ever, you will wish you were Garry. See that above.

During the cast’s appearance on the panel, they talked about the filming of the finale and also revealed how Chris “Andy Dwyer” Pratt wanted the series to actually end. You can check that out below. Continue Reading

The new edition of the Speakeasy series, Paul F. Tompkins sits down with hilarious actor, Ben Schwartz. PFT talks to the Parks and Recreation & House of Lies star about his tough early days interning and then as a page for Late Show with David Letterman, how pitching jokes helped the rise of his blog (RejectedJokes.com), and how intimidated he was to work with Don Cheadle after seeing his Oscar-nomination performance on Hotel Rwanda.

See the interview above.
