Video: Nirvana Performing “Heart-Shaped Box” on ‘Live and Loud’

posted by Oscar September 18, 2013

More material honoring the 20th anniversary of Nirvana’s classic album, In Utero, has surfaced! Now it’s a video of Kurt Cobain and the rest of Nirvana playing their hit “Heart-Shaped Box” during their Live and Loud concert. The visuals are very impressive and show just how great this band was live. The concert film will be part of the massive Super Deluxe Edition reissue of In Utero and will be available for individual DVD purchase.

Buying either of these (DVD or Deluxe edition) on September 24 will make fans eligible for a free Nirvana tattoo at select tattoo shops in Southern California, Seattle, and Long Island.

Hit the jump to see an equally awesome clip of the band performing the powerful track, “Scentless Apprentice.” Continue Reading

Video: Nirvana – “Heart-Shaped Box” (Director’s Cut)

posted by Oscar August 21, 2013

As part of the 20th anniversary of the release of Nirvana’s last studio album In Utero, the director’s cut version of the video for “Heart-Shaped Box” is now available to the public on Vevo.

Director Anton Corbijn’s version gives us some more looks at the creepy woman in the album cover-inspired body suit and the equally (or even a tad bit more) creepy little girl in the white robe. The classic video still looks as weird and menacing as ever, and I can’t help but love it.

In other Nirvana news, their old record label Sub Pop released the legendary band’s original contract with them. That original signing cost them only $600! Check it out on the label’s Tumblr.
